Holy Family Montessori commemorated the Station of the Cross on April 4, 2023, in memory of Christ's Crucifixion. Throughout the year, during the Lenten Season, Montessorians commonly meditate on the Stations of the Cross as a form of prayer. This holy gathering was organized by the Holy Family Montessori Campus Ministry in association with several organizations, including the Glee Club, led by Tr. Giselle Peña, and the Film & Photography Club, under the direction of Tr. Aileen Recinto.
Every year, this Catholic devotional act celebrates the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, to keep up with the school's tradition of respecting His past and suffering. The teachers and Montessorians meditated at fourteen (14) stations, all of which made reference to various depictions of Christ's journey. Jesus experienced His passion out of love for everyone, and this event served as a reminder of how incredibly loved we are. Without making a sacrifice, we cannot merit the privilege of living in God's presence. The only way to obtain eternal life is through sacrifice. People in the past have made a lot of incredible sacrifices. Always set aside some time during Lent to reflect. Reflecting on one's relationship with God and oneself, as well as how their faith has developed and waned. Everyone was pleased that they could rejoice and deeply think about things. Even after participating in this event, Montessorians are still strongly encouraged to pray every day out of devotion to Jesus Christ.
