Every October, Holy Rosary is celebrated. It is a tradition that is held every year by the Catholics. It is more than just a prayer because it is a symbolization of faith to God. It is our holy weapon that fights evil and brings peace to the world. Every day throughout the month of October, the students and teachers at Holy Family Montessori pray the Holy Rosary to commemorate the feast day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. This was held face-to-face at the Holy Family Montessori gymnasium.
The Montessorians welcomed the month by implementing the praying of the Holy Rosary in morning and afternoon periods. The students from grades 7, 9, and 12 who attend face-to-face classes pray the Holy Rosary with their teachers every Monday and Tuesday morning at the HFM gymnasium. On the other hand, students from grades 8, 10, and 11 who do not have face-to-face classes that day pray the Holy Rosary via Google Meet every three o'clock in the afternoon. Every Wednesday, all students have a face-to-face class so everyone is required to pray the Holy Rosary in the HFM gymnasium before their class starts. Every Thursday and Friday, students in grades 8, 10, and 11 pray in the gymnasium while the students who pray via Google Meet on those days are from grades 7, 9, and 12.
All of the elementary and high school students of Holy Family Montessori joined the celebration of the Culmination of the Holy Rosary on October 28. The Holy Rosary was prayed more solemnly on that day by the students and their teacher. By showcasing their talents, the students honored and showed their love for Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The celebration of the Month of the Holy Rosary was made even more memorable by the collaboration of chosen students from the Montessori Dance Company, Glee club, and the Instrumentalist club.
From the beginning of October until the end of this month, the students expressed their praise for the feast day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The pandemic may have hindered the past school years in celebrating the Month of the Holy Rosary, but now we are back again in celebrating it together and in-person. This celebration is a new experience for the new Montessorians as well.
