After almost two years of online parent teacher conferences, the first ever face-to-face parent-teacher conference has finally taken place. Last November 17, 2022, the first parent teacher conference transpired at the Annex Campus. In the said meeting, the grading system and the current events that occurred at Holy Family Montessori were primarily discussed. The parent-teacher conference of Grades 7 and 8 was held at exactly 8:00 to 9:00 am, while for the Grades 9 and 10 was from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Meanwhile, the conference for seniors was from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
Everyone experienced a mixture of thrill and excitement because the students were getting their cards. Concerning these events, the teachers also discussed the performance of the students in this blended learning. Through the brief discussion, the parents were enlightened on how to handle and help their children with their schoolwork in this new normal. Some students were also seen in the meeting with their parents. It cannot be denied that students strive to study despite the changes in the mode of learning. This proves that a Montessorian is willing to be flexible and adaptable just to learn in school.
In times of adversity or normal, Holy Family Montessori never fails to communicate with the Montessori parents to give quality education that nurtures their children. The parent-teacher conference aids in the issues and improvements that each learner may experience. Because here at HFM, the connection between the parent-teacher-student is highly emphasized.
