As we finally got the chance to expand and get a less strict blended learning, we are back to school, Montessorians! For the school year 2022-2023, we can go back to the campus and interact with everyone personally.
Before everything started, formal orientations were held on August 8-12. On the first day, the advisers met with their advisees via Google Meet to greet each other and share their vacation experiences. The class was welcomed and briefed on what was to come. The parents were also oriented on the second day. The obligations and rules to be followed regarding the uniforms and minimum health standards were presented. Happiness filled the screens as the students learned that there was a face-to-face orientation on Thursday, August 11. We finally had the chance to meet those new faces, including familiar ones, as we stepped back into school. The subject teachers were introduced and the other requirements in the subject were given out on this day. The third and last days of orientation were conducted online, where the students received their schedules for the first three months of the school year.
One remarkable part of the orientations was the guidelines for each person to follow. As we finally have the freedom to step inside our designated school facilities, we need to take care of one another. Since the pandemic is not fully over, strict and safety precautions were to be followed everywhere and every year level had different schedules to lessen the possible interactions that can be the root cause of viruses and unexpected illnesses to spread around.
We are expected to have a full blast of face-to-face classes around November, but for now, let us enjoy the limited schedule we have as the school year just started. I hope that everyone will have a happy, memorable, and fulfilling year as we all return to Holy Family Montessori—a place full of positivity, a precious school where we truly enjoy learning.
