HFM Intramurals: The Battle of Pearls and Perseverance

On April 24, 2023, the Intramurals at Holy Family Montessori warmly and eagerly opened a total of 12 teams that includes Stouthearted Hanadama, Mythical Mabe, Sea of Cortez, Assiduous Biwa, Ardent Kasumiga, Majestic Melo, Elysian South Sea, Imperial Keshi, Valiant Tahitian, Herculean Quahog, Stalwart Akoya, and Vigorous Basra, where Montessorians showcased their skills, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. The opening ceremony started with an opening prayer, the national anthem, and opening remarks from Tr. Ma. Eden B. Nitro and Mrs. Juanita P. Alday. It was followed by the pledge of sportsmanship, the field demonstration of the elementary department, and the cheer dance competition of the 12 teams from the high school department. There were four days dedicated to intramurals. Montessorians participated in a variety of athletic competitions, including Palarong Pinoy. The basketball competition, in which Team South Sea won the title, comes first. Team Melo won the gold medal for volleyball girls, while Team Basra won it for volleyball boys. The boys' and girls' gold medalists in singles badminton were Team Sea of Cortez and Team Biwa, respectively. The winning team in badminton doubles is Team Tahitian. For solo table tennis, Team Kasumiga won gold for the boys and Team Mabe for the girls. Team Mabe won the mixed doubles in table tennis. Friday, April 28, 2023, marks the official end of the intramurals. The intramurals were successfully ended by the closing remarks of the principal, Tr. Chloe Alday, and a closing prayer.
